New textures are continuously explored. Surfaces convey emotions to both sight and touch. The eye perceives reflections and shadows, while the hand feels their essence. The roughness of stone, the ripples of bark, the veins of a leaf, the smoothness of a pebble - each detail is studied to evoke a sensory experience. Through franch soil mould casting and lost-wax casting, these fundamental characteristics are transferred to every surface. Bronze, brass, copper, and iron - whether cast or constructed from metal frameworks are subsequently treated with ancient hot and cold patination techniques and finished with beeswax. The resulting colors, never identical and often imperfect, contribute to the charm and uniqueness of each creation.
Wood, the quintessential natural material, conveys warmth. Like metal, wood “speaks.” Selection depends on the intended project, considering both aesthetic and mechanical characteristics. In addition to prized species with particularly striking grains - such as Makassar ebony, walnut, teak, oak, olive, and mahogany - woods that have undergone unique aging processes are often used. Fossil wood, preserved for centuries in the clay bed of a river; planks that have endured the rigidity of the elements. Collaboration with international suppliers, ensuring provenance and sustainability, allows for a wide range of choices.
Full-grain leather is often treated with wax and sometimes intentionally aged to give it an antique, lived-in character. Collaboration with artisans in its processing allows for embossed surfaces, creating modern, high-impact textures. It is thus used for panels and coverings of all kinds. Parchment leather - natural, bleached, or lightly pigmented — is employed for table tops, furniture, and accessories. Finishes include water-based treatments, natural oils, beeswax, and shellac to ensure durability and practical use.
